I'm the modern day house wife. I have no children and no husband, but I do have a really fat cat (not her fault or mine) a wonderful, supportive PNC (partner n crime), lots of fabric, a sewing machine, paints and a computer to keep me really busy. I love to create, garden, lay in the sun (for hours), and I make lattes every morning. In the future, I'd love to have some kiddos to play with my fat cat, I'd love to live in the sunshine and I'd love to make a great living off of being creative. Not too much to ask right?! Reminiscing.

Found this framed, stashed in a box in my Dad's garage yesterday. Flash backs came flying at me seeing my old room again. Written on the back said Summer, 1993. My bunny's name was Basil. Barbies, dolls and florals were my thing, obviously! I love the fanny pack hanging from my bed.

Please excuse me while I reminisce!

I remember after begging and begging for a Barbie house for years, my parents gave me this antique doll house for Christmas. I know what I was thinking...should of asked for a doll house so they would've given me a Barbie house. But you know, I look back and appreciate the fact that my parents gave me some card board boxes to make Barbie houses out of instead of what I wanted. I would sit in my room for hours and decorate the boxes. I'd glue fabric on the inside for wall paper and with a stapler and some card board peices I was able to make up some pretty cool bunk beds. I drew windows and doors on the outside with those, I think they were called Mr Sketch, smelly markers. My parents were smarter than I thought. I think those cardboard Barbie houses sparked my creativity, used my noggin, and they didn't have to see me for hours.

After seeing this photo, I sat on the floor and went through a mound of photo albums. Oh how life changes. I started getting teary eyed thinking about the changes yet to come.

I miss this happy go lucky girl. Not a care in the world.

Painting for Cionna.

Sorry, this post was going to be for yesterday but did not have access to internet! But since today is "I Love" Thursday, this works. My best friend and now cousin Lindsay has been asking me for a painting for her daughter's nursery for awhile now. This painting is for our newest family member Cionna. Isn't her name pretty.

We call her "Jersey" because well, she's Italian, has that beautiful dark skin we all long for and looks like her Mommy who could pass as a MANZO sibling. Lindsay has had two boy's so its only fair for Lindsay that she has some fun dressing her little Cionna like a TERESSA GUIDICE child. I have every intension on spoiling this little one with leopard print everything and a gaudy fascinator or two.

It makes me so happy and almost teary eyed thinking about how beautiful, inside and out, our family is. It keeps growing and growing! The bigger the better in my eyes.

Casey and Cionna. How about Cionna's distinct brows? And Casey's burns. I feel inlove with those years ago;) Precious, both of them!

I Love Bon Iver.

Do I need to say more? This YOUTUBE video of BON IVER, if you haven't already seen it, will make your day. I promise;) Beautiful can't even describe Bon Iver's cover of "I Can't Make you Love Me." You can imagine the ugly cry that happened when I first watched this.

My brother gave me a BON IVER CD a few years ago and I instantly fell in love (thanks Jack). Skinny Love is my all time favorite BON IVER song.

That is my "love" post for this week. I hope you enjoy the video.

Our Wedding Invitations.

I wanted to post our wedding invites back in June before our wedding and never did. No time like the present!  They aren't your typical wedding invite, they aren't that classy, or fancy or formal in any way, but I look at them now and they totally sum our wedding. They look like us. They represented us. Makes me happy looking at them today.

There is a pear orchard above where we got married.

Of course I "put a bird on it," I've been putting birds on things since the early 2000's!

There is a photo of my Grandparents, I wish I had it to show you, but I always loved the mat that surrounded the photo. The photo was of them shortly after they got married. The mat yellowed and had water stains on the back of it. I scanned it, and used it as a back ground for our invites and this map. Notice the little water spot on the map.

I found this yarn at Joann Fabrics. The colors matched the colors of the wedding perfectly. I bought lace fabric by the yard and then cut 100+ of these rectangles to place over the invite. The little tag had our website and registry info on it.

I bought 100 of these clear envelopes for $6.99!

Sometimes its nice to reminisce.
