I'm the modern day house wife. I have no children and no husband, but I do have a really fat cat (not her fault or mine) a wonderful, supportive PNC (partner n crime), lots of fabric, a sewing machine, paints and a computer to keep me really busy. I love to create, garden, lay in the sun (for hours), and I make lattes every morning. In the future, I'd love to have some kiddos to play with my fat cat, I'd love to live in the sunshine and I'd love to make a great living off of being creative. Not too much to ask right?! Our Wedding Invitations.

I wanted to post our wedding invites back in June before our wedding and never did. No time like the present!  They aren't your typical wedding invite, they aren't that classy, or fancy or formal in any way, but I look at them now and they totally sum our wedding. They look like us. They represented us. Makes me happy looking at them today.

There is a pear orchard above where we got married.

Of course I "put a bird on it," I've been putting birds on things since the early 2000's!

There is a photo of my Grandparents, I wish I had it to show you, but I always loved the mat that surrounded the photo. The photo was of them shortly after they got married. The mat yellowed and had water stains on the back of it. I scanned it, and used it as a back ground for our invites and this map. Notice the little water spot on the map.

I found this yarn at Joann Fabrics. The colors matched the colors of the wedding perfectly. I bought lace fabric by the yard and then cut 100+ of these rectangles to place over the invite. The little tag had our website and registry info on it.

I bought 100 of these clear envelopes for $6.99!

Sometimes its nice to reminisce.
