Fall, apple pie, spiced cider, hunting for the perfect pumpkin, layering BOHO style. I miss summer already but as long as it doesn't rain everyday, I'll be fine. A little over a year ago I made the move from Seattle to small town Ferndale, WA. My back ground is graphic design & tableware design. With recent changes in my lifestyle, the situation to create and work from home is suiting me just fine! I love to garden, sew, and cook. I'm the modern house wife without child or ring! But hey, I love my life! Have fun browsing around and hope to hear from you.

Pretty things.

Yesterday, when we were having high wind warnings and the clouds were black and full of rain, I took a look inside this little shop and it shined some light into my house. Nest Pretty Things, by Tamar is the prettiest shop filled with all sorts of treasures. With 226 items for you to dream about, your dream is not too far off with her affordable prices. Here are a few of my favorites $50.00 and under.

Not only is her shop pretty, her blog is nothing short! And her pieces come beautifully packaged and ready to give for the holidays.

Café Love, Natalie

Back in my ETSY shop, reusable coffee and tea sleeves! I can't leave this post without filling you in on my coffee favorite right now. Trader Joes Wintry Blend. It has become a tradition around the holidays I look forward to every year. Its so special because it has spices ground with the coffee. We're talking red and green peppercorns, whole fresh cloves and cinnamon. Warms you right up! I love using it for my espresso machine. It comes pre-ground so I always grind it more for an espresso blend. I have to warn you, not everyone likes it, but to me its the perfect wintry treat. Especially today when I have to have every light on in my house because the clouds are so dark and the wind is howling.

What's plaid with vintage buttons?

New neck warmers/cowls as promised! Thanks again to Brittany, the mom of the three fairy princesses, who kindly agreed to model for me. We had a fun country/urban photo shoot. Grass fields, an abandon farm and ally way were the back drops for the shots. I love how they turned out! For more details, check them out at my shop.

I love how these cowls turned out. The plaid and vintage buttons make them so classic yet modern at the same time. Warm and cozy too with a thick jersey material on the back side. Hope you like the new addition to Love, Natalie. Happy Fall!

McCheeks Mayhem

I have to share with you McCheeks Mayhem's ceramic designs. Absolutley original and charming! The modern typography meets old fashion floral china motifs are what drew me to this talented designer. When old meets new, something special happens. McCheeks found that something.

To see more and read more about McCheeks Mayhem, visit her shop, blog, and website.

A day with Fairy Princesses.

Recently I met Brittany and her 3 girls Nyla, Keira, and Kennedy. I was so happy to meet someone my age here in Bellingham. In the last 2 years, friends have been hard to come by in my new home. And to find out Brittany is a designer was even better! She is the owner, stationary designer and more of Dolce Design. Running a house of 5, a successful business and to still be able to write a super savy design blog, I admire her! Yesterday, her and I photographed her three wearing the new scarves I'm adding to Love, Natalie. We collaborated photos and our editing skills to come up with some beautiful shots for my ETSY shop.

Thank you to Brittany, and the three Fairy Princesses for helping me accomplish exactly what I was picturing for my shop. A sense of wonder, wilderness, and fun, eclectic, fashion.

Clothes I dream of.

If you are an ETSY fanatic like myself, I'm sure you have a list of your favorites. This shop is one of mine. KayLim Design. I often go there and find myself staring at her creations and day dreaming about owning one myself. Usually for way too long! Each garment is extremely detailed and truly one of a kind. I couldn't keep her shop to myself any longer. I hope you will get the chance to stop by and take a look at her talent. In the mean time, here is a sneak peak and some of my favorites.

Sweet vintage style skirts.

It was my misfortune I stumbled across this brand new etsy shop a little too late. I was browsing etsy for the perfect skirt to wear to an upcoming wedding. I was looking for something in particular, a puffy, high waisted skirt I can wear with a simple white tank and a beautiful big beaded necklace. And the kicker, it had to be under $50.00. Budget here. The designer that caught my puffy skirt attention was Jennifer Lauren. Because of our time difference, her in New Zealand, myself in Washington State, there was just not enough time to make the custom creation.

So, I thought I'd share my new find with you. Jennifer loves using vintage patterns and vintage material which makes her skirts as sweet as they are. She is able to fit a skirt to your size and she is the nicest designer to work with. Also, very affordable US prices!
